Job Overview:
Reporting to the Pharmacy Superintendent, the Pharmaceutical Technologist will ensure high-quality standards in medication and medical consumables provision, adhering to Avenue Group’s policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain pharmacy equipment in good working condition
2. Adhere to insurance exclusion lists
3. Manage medication stock levels and conduct regular inventories
4. Prevent medication errors through thorough prescription verification
5. Dispense controlled drugs according to policy
6. Monitor and report fridge temperatures
7. Track and report pharmacy quality indicators
8. Manage drug and surgical item expiries
9. Implement corporate governance policies and report incidents
10. Maintain infection control standards
11. Ensure client satisfaction and maintain patient confidentiality
Requirements:
- – Diploma in Pharmacy
- – Valid pharmaceutical technologist license attached to Avenue Healthcare
- – Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
- – Strong organizational awareness and attention to detail
- – Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- – Team player with a high level of reliability
