Amref Health Africa is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Partnerships Intern to join their dynamic fundraising team at their headquarters. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international development and public health partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administrative Support (25%):
- – Assist in writing and editing proposals, concept notes, and reports
- – Take detailed notes during internal and external meetings
2. Business Analysis & Partner Prospecting (50%):
- – Conduct market research on potential partner organizations
- – Identify and track funding opportunities
- – Build a pipeline of corporate and foundation donor prospects
- – Craft compelling introductory messages for potential donors
- – Research relevant industry events for networking opportunities
- – Explore partnership expansion opportunities
3. Knowledge Management (25%):
- – Create profiles of foundation and corporate donors
- – Support the development and analysis of partner surveys
- – Research and report on current public health trends in Africa
Requirements:
Education:
- – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (pursuing or recently completed) in International Development, Public Health, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or Political Science
- – Relevant coursework in grant writing, research methods, or nonprofit management is a plus
Skills:
- – Strong research and analytical skills
- – Excellent writing and editing abilities
- – Proficiency in information management and CRM systems
- – Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- – Business acumen for identifying partnership opportunities
- – Team collaboration and adaptability
Additional Qualifications:
- – Knowledge of donor trends in international development
- – Interest in public health and development in Africa
- – Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- – Problem-solving skills and ability to provide research-based recommendations
