Position Overview:
The Regional Logistics Trainer will be responsible for planning, designing, and coordinating the delivery of Learning and Development (LnD) activities for the Logistics Support Centre in Nairobi. This role is critical in enhancing the skills and knowledge of ICRC’s logistics personnel, ultimately contributing to the organization’s effectiveness in humanitarian assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, plan, and implement regional Learning and Development programs focused on supply chain management
2. Lead the organization, preparation, and facilitation of training events, including face-to-face trainings and webinars
3. Conduct regular Learning Needs Assessments to identify priorities and develop action plans
4. Contribute to the design and implementation of new learning projects, including e-learning courses and blended learning paths
5. Maintain and update training calendars and catalogues
6. Support and coach colleagues in the Logistics Support Centre who assist in training delivery
7. Coordinate and promote mentoring programs, maintaining rosters of mentors and mentees
8. Guide staff professional development and assist in defining and achieving professional development plans
Requirements:
1. Kenyan citizenship (mandatory)
2. Relevant degree in learning and development or adult education
3. Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, particularly in corporate learning and development within supply chain management
4. Excellent command of written and spoken English (French proficiency is a strong asset)
5. Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with e-learning authoring tools
6. Proficiency with multimedia tools (e.g., Photoshop)
7. Certifications in Training of Trainers or as formal facilitators/coaches
8. Demonstrable experience in project management (preferred)
