Job Overview:
The Administrative Associate will play a crucial role in office management and the implementation of general administrative and resource management tasks. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals with strong organizational skills and a passion for humanitarian work.
Key Responsibilities:
- – Assist in managing office resources to support daily activities
- – Ensure a healthy, safe, and respectful working environment at UNHCR premises
- – Provide administrative support in finance, human resources, and data management
- – Interpret administrative rules, regulations, and procedures
- – Assist in recruitment processes for General Service staff
- – Conduct local cost of living surveys and manage administrative matters
- – Prepare correspondence, reports, and budgets
- – Supervise office maintenance, security, and transport services
- – Manage office supplies and inventory
Requirements:
- – High School Diploma with 3 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience
- – Proficiency in IT and computer literacy
- – Knowledge of UN/UNHCR Administrative Rules, Regulations, and Procedures
- – Understanding of financial and procurement rules
- – Experience with PeopleSoft EPM/Budget systems
- – Strong communication and organizational skills
- – Fluency in English (knowledge of local languages is an advantage)
