UDV (United Distillers & Vintners) is seeking a highly skilled Material Scheduler to join their dynamic team in Nairobi, Kenya. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in managing the materials supply for our local operations.

Job Overview:
The Material Scheduler will be responsible for orchestrating the materials supply into local operations, working closely with long-term material planners, suppliers, procurement, and site operations. This role is critical in maintaining effective communication between the Center of Excellence (CoE) and key stakeholders in the markets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Material Scheduling Management:
- – Ensure continuous replenishment of raw materials for brewing and packaging processes
- – Manage local purchase order/scheduling agreement processes
- – Facilitate efficient communication between Material planning team, local Production Scheduling, operations, and Procurement teams
2. Risk Management and Performance Analysis:
- – Communicate potential risks to short- and medium-term material schedules
- – Support process improvement through performance analytics interpretation
- – Track relevant materials supply chain metrics
- – Conduct root cause and trend analysis on material supply and supplier performance issues
3. Process Standardization and Automation:
- – Align local Material scheduling systems with global supply planning strategies
- – Collaborate with Data, CoE, and local teams to ensure BOM accuracy
- – Maintain master data in appropriate information systems (e.g., SAP, ECC6, APO)
- – Contribute to process improvements across the wider CoE
Requirements:
- – Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business (or equivalent)
- – Minimum 5 years of experience in Material planning and/or procurement in CPG industry
- – Proficiency in MPS/MRP and DRP methodology
- – Experience with distribution, warehousing, and scheduling
- – Understanding of plant operations
- – Familiarity with supply chain optimization platforms (ERP, master data, time-phased replenishment planning systems)
- – Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
- – Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- – High degree of quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail
- – Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
- – Experience with advanced planning software, particularly SAP APO (advantageous)
- – APICS CPIM / CSCP certification or equivalent (desirable)
