Requirements for Appointment
- – Must possess a Diploma in one of the following:
- – Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing
- – Kenya Registered Nursing
- – Kenya Registered Midwifery
- – Kenya Registered Nursing/Midwifery
- – Kenya Registered Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry
- – Valid Registration Certificate from the Nursing Council of Kenya
- – Current practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya
- – Age: 35 years and below
- – All qualifications must be from recognized institutions
Duties and Responsibilities
The selected interns will work under experienced healthcare professionals and will be responsible for:
Clinical Duties
- – Conducting patient assessments and developing comprehensive care plans
- – Implementing nursing interventions and evaluating patient outcomes
- – Providing specialized healthcare services including:
- – Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI)
- – Immunization programs
- – Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT)
- – Ante-Natal Care and Delivery services
- – Health Education and Counselling
Administrative Duties
- – Managing patient admissions and discharge planning
- – Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records
- – Ensuring proper documentation of healthcare services
- – Contributing to data collection and compilation
- – Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
Professional Development
- – Participating in regular training sessions
- – Engaging in case study discussions
- – Contributing to quality improvement initiatives
- – Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Terms of Service
- – Contract Duration: One (1) year
- – Location: Various healthcare facilities within Murang’a County
- – Starting Date: Immediate
