About the Role
The Health Services and Sanitation Department is seeking a dedicated Assistant Public Health Officer to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on community health and environmental wellness.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering vital Environmental Health Extension services in their designated area, including:
- – Conducting community mobilization and sensitization on environmental health matters
- – Providing expert guidance and advice on public health issues
- – Managing immunization programs and campaigns
- – Identifying and addressing environmental health challenges at the grassroots level
- – Planning and executing community health awareness days
- – Maintaining detailed records of all services provided
- – Conducting comprehensive community health needs assessments
- – Implementing effective vector, vermin, and rodent control measures
- – Developing and executing integrated mosquito control strategies
- – Facilitating proper referrals to appropriate health facilities
Essential Requirements
Candidates must possess:
- – A Diploma in either Environmental Health Science or Public Health Inspection from a recognized institution
- – Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution
