Position Overview
The Collections Specialist will play a crucial role in Nokia’s financial operations, managing customer relationships and ensuring efficient accounts receivable processes. This position offers the perfect blend of financial expertise and relationship management, working with diverse stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Financial Management
- – Drive proactive collection of trade debts and advance payments
- – Manage and optimize cash flow through strategic collection practices
- – Provide accurate forecasting of expected payments for open items
- – Monitor and report on payment deductions, including penalties and withholding tax
- – Execute and maintain SOX compliance controls
Customer Relations
- – Build and maintain strong relationships with customer Accounts Payable departments
- – Lead invoice approval follow-ups and payment processing
- – Collaborate with customers to streamline payment processes
- – Resolve invoice disputes efficiently and professionally
Internal Collaboration
- – Work closely with Project Management, Order Management, and Customer Operations teams
- – Support RBC/Asset Controllers with receivables administration
- – Provide comprehensive status reports for customer and CT meetings
- – Identify and implement process improvements across the collection cycle
System Management
- – Maintain accurate records in the Collections Tool
- – Update Line Items Status Check regularly
- – Process manual invoice mapping
- – Ensure proper documentation of payment remittances
Required Qualifications
Education
- – Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Technical Skills
- – Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- – Strong understanding of financial systems and processes
- – Knowledge of contract management (preferred)
