Position Overview
The ON Presales Engineer will serve as a trusted technical advisor, managing and creating optical portfolio solutions for customers across the CEWA region. This role is crucial in shaping the future of telecommunications infrastructure in Africa.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- – Design and architect optical network solutions for customer requirements
- – Provide expert technical guidance on Nokia’s optical portfolio
- – Create and manage RFP network designs
- – Develop optimal design guidelines for solutions and platforms
- – Drive new product introductions in the region
Customer Engagement
- – Serve as primary technical solutions advisor for assigned accounts
- – Deliver professional solution presentations to customers
- – Provide strategic advice on network architecture and evolution
- – Manage customer requirements with ION RBC teams
- – Execute roadmap updates and competitive analysis
Solution Development
- – Create comprehensive multi-product and service offerings
- – Identify and develop new applications for existing products
- – Support end-to-end solution development
- – Maintain deep technical knowledge of optical network technologies
- – Monitor and analyze competitive landscape
Required Qualifications
Technical Expertise
- – Extensive experience with Alcatel-Lucent 1830PSS and 1850TSS platforms
- – Deep understanding of optical network technologies and architectures
- – Proven experience in designing optical networks
- – Strong knowledge of customer operational processes
