ENGIE Energy Access, a leading provider of Pay-As-You-Go (PAYGo) and mini-grids solutions in Africa, is seeking a detail-oriented Archiving Officer Intern to join their dynamic team in Nairobi. This temporary position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital and physical archives management within a fast-growing clean energy company.

Position Overview
The Archiving Officer Intern will play a vital role in maintaining and organizing company records while ensuring efficient document retrieval systems. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager and is based in our Nairobi office.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- – Implement and maintain comprehensive record management systems following established archival standards, ensuring efficient organization and retrieval of company documents
- – Lead document preservation initiatives for both physical and digital archives, including historical records, photographs, and various media formats
- – Develop and maintain detailed cataloging systems to facilitate quick and accurate document retrieval for staff and researchers
- – Spearhead digitization projects to modernize record-keeping practices and ensure long-term preservation of important documents
- – Establish and enforce security protocols for sensitive information while managing access controls to protected archives
Required Qualifications
- – Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Archival Studies, or related field
- – Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word and Excel
- – Fluency in both English and Kiswahili
- – Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities
- – Experience in archives, libraries, or records management is advantageous
