Insurance Regulatory Authority

The Insurance Regulatory Authority is hiring an Assistant Manager, Supply Chain Management to oversee the operations management of the Supply Chain Management function, advising user departments on best procurement practices while ensuring continuous availability of goods, works, and services for seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • – Develop Supply Chain management processes, procedures, and legislation
  • – Draft contracts and tender documents for compliance and protection of Authority’s interests
  • – Provide professional opinions to the Accounting Officer on compliance with PPADA and Regulations
  • – Develop, implement, and enforce Supply Chain Management policies and regulations
  • – Develop supplier selection, evaluation methods, and performance strategies
  • – Support users in market research, budget estimates, and tender document preparation
  • – Implement all supply chain activities for goods, works, and services per PPADA and Regulations
  • – Review statutory reports to PPRA and other reports
  • – Develop supplier relations for effective contract performance and delivery
  • – Compile Annual Procurement and Disposal Plan
  • – Develop and implement Quality Management System, risk management, and knowledge management


  • – Master’s degree in Procurement and Supplies Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, Entrepreneurship, or relevant field
  • – Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management and Logistics, Commerce/Business Administration (Supplies Management option), or relevant qualification
  • – Six (6) years of relevant experience
  • – Membership to Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (MKISM), Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies (CIPS), or equivalent
  • – Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks
  • – Meet provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution
