BIC is hiring an Associate Manager – Regional Sales to oversee and drive sales operations in Nairobi and the surrounding region. This role focuses on achieving sales targets, managing distributor relationships, and ensuring maximum visibility of BIC products in the market.

Key Responsibilities
- – Ensure BIC products are consistently sold to customers within the allocated region.
- – Meet or exceed monthly sales volume and value targets across all categories: Stationery, Lighters, and Shavers.
- – Manage and motivate third-party sales teams to meet both quantitative and qualitative goals.
- – Supervise Distributor Sales Representatives to achieve sales targets, optimize coverage, and maintain strike rates.
- – Implement and execute sales and marketing activations, including promotional campaigns during key periods such as Back-to-School and Shaver/Lighter promotions.
- – Compile and submit sales operations reports, including market intelligence and weekly sellout data.
- – Foster strong trade relationships with key customers and identify new sales opportunities.
- – Ensure constant availability and visibility of BIC products across all routes, eliminating gaps (Red Zones).
- – Coach and motivate sales teams to enhance capability and performance.
- – Conduct regular business reviews with distributors and sales teams to track progress and set actionable goals.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- – Conduct weekly Distributor Sales performance reviews with documented action points and timelines.
- – Achieve at least 80% of the distributor strike rate target.
- – Ensure 80% on-shelf availability (OSA) for all merchandised outlets.
- – Drive measurable improvements in numeric and weighted distribution.
Qualifications and Experience
- – Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field.
- – 10+ years of experience in the FMCG industry, with a strong track record in sales.
- – Proficiency in data analysis to identify trends and actionable insights.
- – Excellent presentation and communication skills for engaging with executives and team members.
- – Proven leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and inspire teams.
- – Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage high-pressure tasks.
- – Familiarity with relevant legislation governing data usage within sales operations.
- – Competence in preparing detailed reports, market analyses, and forecasts.
