CARE International is hiring a Baseline Assessment Consultant for their SOWING CHANGE Project, a livelihood-to-leadership initiative that empowers women worldwide to lead their communities in developing financially innovative and sustainable nature-based solutions. The project aims to tackle climate change challenges through economically sustainable restoration programming and inclusive financial opportunities.
Scope of Work:
- – Conduct stakeholder mapping to identify relevant actors, affected parties, and potential partners
- – Analyze the status of the project area’s livelihoods, poverty, food security, water access, and sustainable resource management practices
- – Map out existing women-led sustainable and nature-based enterprises (NBEs)
- – Conduct a gender and power dynamics analysis in the livestock, beekeeping, and one additional NBE value chain
- – Assess the market feasibility of supporting existing groups to become honey processing businesses
- – Hold interfaith community dialogues to gather input and validate findings
Requirements:
- – Expertise in conducting baseline assessments and stakeholder mappings
- – Knowledge of gender dynamics, sustainable livelihoods, and climate adaptation practices
- – Experience in market assessments and business modeling
- – Excellent facilitation and community engagement skills
- – Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
