Branch Manager-Broadwalk Mall

Avenue Healthcare, a leading private healthcare group in East Africa, is seeking a dedicated Branch Manager for their Broadwalk Mall location. With a 25-year legacy in healthcare, Avenue Healthcare operates 3 hospitals and 19 medical centers across Kenya, serving over 400,000 patients annually.

Job Purpose:

Implement systems to ensure adherence to Avenue Healthcare’s defined policies, protocols, procedures, and standards by all medical staff in AHC facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. People Management:

• – Ensure optimal staffing levels
• – Coordinate training initiatives
• – Manage rewards, recognition, and disciplinary actions

2. Resource Management:

• – Maintain updated consultant panels and locum pools
• – Ensure availability and functionality of necessary equipment

3. Financial Management:

• – Drive growth through quality care and high patient satisfaction
• – Manage costs within budget
• – Ensure timely and accurate billing

4. Clinical Duties:

• – Maintain accurate patient documentation
• – Initiate proper patient management and treatment
• – Conduct appropriate referrals and consultations
• – Perform clinical procedures as trained

5. Quality Assurance:

• – Participate in incident reporting and quality improvement plans
• – Maintain infection control standards
• – Prevent medication errors

6. Compliance and Governance:

• – Adhere to government and professional standards
• – Implement audit recommendations
• – Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality

7. Patient Satisfaction:

• – Monitor and improve patient satisfaction metrics

8. Environment, Health, and Safety:

• – Conduct risk assessments
• – Prepare staff for emergencies
• – Handle incidents and oversee staff recovery

Requirements:

• – Medical degree (MBChB) or BSc in Nursing
• – Valid professional practicing license
• – At least 5 years’ experience in a senior healthcare management role
• – Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• – Detail-oriented with excellent organizational awareness

Preferred Qualifications:

• – Master’s degree or relevant postgraduate training in healthcare management
