Job Purpose:
As a Temporary Chef at Jumba, you’ll be an integral part of the kitchen team, committed to creating great food and providing outstanding service. This role is perfect for a creative individual who can develop cost-effective, tasty recipes while maintaining the freedom to innovate and take informed risks. You’ll be responsible for preparing all daily meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events for Jumba’s staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation:
- – Create and prepare nutritious, high-quality meals according to established schedules
- – Develop innovative, cost-effective recipes that cater to diverse tastes
- – Manage kitchen inventory, ensuring proper accounting, storage, and rotation of ingredients
- – Maintain accurate records and complete relevant paperwork
2. Health and Safety:
- – Uphold strict sanitation and hygiene standards in the kitchen
- – Ensure the safety of staff in the kitchen and dining areas
- – Collaborate with the internal operations team to conduct health and safety inspections
- – Identify and report safety hazards and unsafe practices promptly
- – Adhere to proper uniform and PPE requirements

Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
- – Diploma/Certificate in Food and Beverage production or a related field
- – Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role

- – Strong knowledge of quality, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- – Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- – Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- – Proficiency in culinary techniques and food presentation
- – Basic computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping
