Position Overview: Customer Service Representative / Call Center Representative

Cigna Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join their dynamic team in Nairobi. This role combines chat support and call center responsibilities, offering a unique opportunity in the remote work customer service sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • – Handle customer inquiries through multiple channels (phone, email, chat) regarding insurance policies, claims, and benefits
  • – Process and respond to customer requests ranging from basic to complex issues
  • – Manage Envoy registration, card status inquiries, and policy benefit explanations
  • – Route documentation and maintain accurate records
  • – Provide exceptional customer service as a chat agent and call center representative
  • – Research and interpret policy provisions to deliver effective solutions

Required Qualifications

  • – Diploma or Bachelor’s degree
  • – Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (call center background preferred)
  • – Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • – Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • – Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • – Experience in high-volume customer service environments
  • – Medical terminology knowledge (advantageous)

Working Hours and Structure

  • – 24/7 rotation shifts
  • – 5-day work week
  • – Split shift schedule (morning/afternoon/evening/night)
  • – Public holiday coverage required
