Job Description:
Jumia is hiring a Lead Developer to join their Engineering Management team. This role will be responsible for setting an exceptional engineering experience for their team(s), overseeing delivery, growth, and career development. The Lead Developer will interface with multiple stakeholders to discuss current projects and vision for future initiatives, playing a key role in Jumia’s technological growth.

Requirements:
- – 6+ years experience as a Software Engineer with Java and agile methodologies
- – Track record of leading effective teams (official or unofficial experience)
- – Ability to recruit top engineering talent
- – Expertise in managing technical debt and prioritizing quality
- – Autonomous with strong ownership and decision-making skills
- – Ambitious to grow the company and your own career
- – Strong technical acumen to guide engineers and product decisions
- – Full professional proficiency in English
