Facilities and Administration Intern


The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) is a leading research-to-policy institution dedicated to generating evidence, strengthening research capacity in Africa, and influencing policy on health and development. With its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, and a West Africa Regional Office (WARO) in Dakar, Senegal, APHRC aims to drive change by fostering strong African research leadership and promoting evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM) across sub-Saharan Africa.

Position Overview:

APHRC is seeking to engage an intern for an initial period of three months within the Facilities and Administration Unit.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • – Provide general support in procurement activities.
  • – Assist with general office duties, such as photocopying, scanning, filing, and other routine tasks.
  • – Support the checking and receiving of office deliveries, including stationery and water.
  • – Assist in maintaining the building’s cleanliness and conducting grounds inspections.
  • – Support Health and Safety compliance efforts.
  • – Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • – A bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Procurement & Logistics, Project Management, or a related field.
  • – Recent graduate (within the last 6 months).
  • – Knowledge of the procurement process.
  • – Good customer service skills.
