Finley International Limited is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Call Center Officer to join their Debt Collection team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to play a crucial role in ensuring timely debt collection while maintaining positive customer relationships.

Department: Call Center

Reports To: Team Manager

About the Role:

As a Call Center Officer specializing in Debt Collection, you will be at the forefront of Finley International Limited’s efforts to maintain a healthy cash flow while providing exceptional customer service. This challenging yet rewarding position requires a unique blend of interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, and a results-driven approach.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Interaction and Debt Resolution:

  • – Communicate professionally with customers to discuss outstanding debts
  • – Advise customers on debt clearance options and explain the importance of timely payments
  • – Negotiate payment plans and credit extensions when appropriate
  • – Mediate disputes between customers and principals/clients
  • – Conduct outreach via phone, mail, or scheduled visits to locate and notify customers with defaulted accounts

2. Account Management:

  • – Perform various duties on assigned accounts, including recording, verification, and validation of customer details
  • – Maintain data integrity and ensure customer confidentiality
  • – Initiate the clearance process for settled debts and coordinate with relevant departments for updates
  • – Provide accurate account information to customers, including balances and account numbers

3. Debt Recovery Strategies:

  • – Organize, manage, and implement suitable debt recovery methods and techniques
  • – Analyze customer financial status and adjust collection efforts accordingly
  • – Negotiate credit extensions when necessary and within company guidelines

4. Reporting and Documentation:

  • – Record detailed information about customers’ financial status and collection efforts in the company’s system
  • – Prepare and submit regular reports as required by management
  • – Respond promptly to all correspondences, including emails, phone calls, and postal mail

5. Customer Service Excellence:

  • – Attend to customers during scheduled and unscheduled meetings
  • – Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor in all customer interactions
  • – Strive to find win-win solutions that benefit both the customer and the company

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:

  • – Diploma in any field from a recognized institution (Diploma in Banking or Credit Management is an added advantage)

Experience:

  • – 1-2 years of experience in Collections, Credit, or Sales and Marketing environment

Skills and Attributes:

  • – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • – Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
  • – Proficiency in both spoken and written English
  • – Computer literacy, including familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite
  • – Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
  • – Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
  • – Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence others
  • – Time management and organizational skills
