The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is hiring talented individuals for its Internship Programme. This programme aims to attract motivated young people who can contribute their innovative ideas, fresh perspectives, and latest academic knowledge to FAO’s domains. The internship provides a practical learning opportunity to supplement academic knowledge with hands-on work experience related to FAO’s work.
Requirements:
- – Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited educational institution, or a recent graduate.
- – Specialization in a field relevant to FAO’s mission and work.
- – Proficiency in at least one FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish). Knowledge of a second FAO language is an asset.
- – Aged between 21 and 30 years.
- – Adaptability to an international, multicultural environment and strong communication skills.
- – Adherence to FAO values of Commitment, Respect for All, and Integrity and Transparency.
Duties:
Interns will be assigned tasks and responsibilities based on their profile and the organization’s needs, as specified in the Terms of Reference (TOR) prepared by the hiring office. They will contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and FAO’s Strategic Framework, supporting the transformation to more efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable agri-food systems.

- – FAO provides a monthly stipend to interns if they are not sponsored.
