Key Responsibilities:
- – Lead and coordinate physical security, safety, and resilience efforts at Google offices and external property owner locations in Kenya
- – Manage risk assessment, threat identification, and mitigation strategies to ensure the safety of personnel and facilities
- – Collaborate with the Facilities Management team to develop innovative security strategies
- – Investigate security breaches and create comprehensive risk assessment plans
- – Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate safety and security measures into all aspects of Google’s operations
- – Develop and maintain a culture of security awareness among staff
- – Oversee multiple campus sites, potentially across different countries
- – Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and integrity
Requirements:
- – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field
- – Proven experience in managing security operations
- – Experience working on international programs
- – Strong leadership and team management skills
- – Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- – Agility and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- – Ability to handle highly confidential information with ethical standards and discretion
- – Proficiency in risk assessment and mitigation techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
- – Advanced degree in Security Management, Business Administration, or related field
- – Certification in security management (e.g., CPP, PSP)
- – Experience with technological security solutions and systems
- – Knowledge of local and international security regulations and best practices
- – Multilingual capabilities, particularly in languages relevant to the region
