Key Responsibilities:

• – Lead and coordinate physical security, safety, and resilience efforts at Google offices and external property owner locations in Kenya
• – Manage risk assessment, threat identification, and mitigation strategies to ensure the safety of personnel and facilities
• – Collaborate with the Facilities Management team to develop innovative security strategies
• – Investigate security breaches and create comprehensive risk assessment plans
• – Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate safety and security measures into all aspects of Google’s operations
• – Develop and maintain a culture of security awareness among staff
• – Oversee multiple campus sites, potentially across different countries
• – Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and integrity

Requirements:

• – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field
• – Proven experience in managing security operations
• – Experience working on international programs
• – Strong leadership and team management skills
• – Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• – Agility and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• – Ability to handle highly confidential information with ethical standards and discretion
• – Proficiency in risk assessment and mitigation techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

• – Advanced degree in Security Management, Business Administration, or related field
• – Certification in security management (e.g., CPP, PSP)
• – Experience with technological security solutions and systems
• – Knowledge of local and international security regulations and best practices
• – Multilingual capabilities, particularly in languages relevant to the region
