The Legal Clerk is responsible for handling mail management and dispatch to ensure a smooth flow of work processes within the office, in line with Kenindia’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receipt and registration of all new claims received in the IT system and maintain a register thereof.
- Receive all incoming mail, collate documents in order of priority, and offer assistance to the legal officer handling branches for an efficient and speedy response to mail.
- Receive all incoming judgment advice and record in the judgment register for tracking to ensure timely attendance.
- Handle machine maintenance, departmental stationery requisition, and monitor the use thereof.
- Collect EFT payment advices from accounts, prepare forwarding letters, and ensure immediate dispatch; maintain a cheque/EFT dispatch register.
- Dispatch letters, cheques/EFTs, and summons to the correct persons within the given timeline.
- Reconcile and pay investigators and doctors’ fees within the given timelines.
- Undertake typing work within the timelines given.
- Manage mail, connect all incoming mail to the relevant file, and give to the legal officer for action.
- Ensure customer service to both internal and external clients by providing the required timely dispatch of letters, cheques, and claim files.
- Receive excess cheques.
- Handle the switchboard, receive and dispatch calls, maintain telephone lines, and manage the PABX system.

Job Requirements:
- – O-Level education
- – Para-legal qualification
- – Certificate in business management practice (added advantage)
- – At least 2 years of relevant experience
- – Accuracy, coordination, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- – Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and IT skills
- – Demonstrates integrity, reliability, transparency, professionalism, teamwork, and quality
