SC Johnson is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead their Nairobi site maintenance operations. This key leadership position will oversee both equipment and facilities maintenance while driving breakthrough performance through strategic reliability planning.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of maintenance operations at SC Johnson’s Nairobi facility. This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to ensure optimal facility and equipment performance while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- – Develop and execute comprehensive equipment reliability and facilities management strategies
- – Lead and mentor the Kenya site maintenance team to foster a culture of continuous improvement
- – Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles and drive autonomous maintenance capabilities
- – Establish and maintain performance metrics and reporting systems
- – Create and oversee maintenance planning and scheduling programs
- – Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in Repair & Maintenance
- – Spearhead sustainability initiatives in collaboration with the SHE department
- – Coordinate maintenance activities with Plant Leadership and Steering Committee
- – Manage MRO storeroom operations and inventory
- – Drive OEE improvements through strategic maintenance planning
- – Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
Required Qualifications
- – Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering preferred)
- – Minimum 5 years of maintenance organization leadership experience
- – Proven track record in maintenance reliability strategy implementation
- – Strong leadership and change management capabilities
- – Proficiency in TPM / Lean Manufacturing principles
- – Experience with SAP PM Module
- – FMCG/CPG sector experience, particularly with automated processing and packaging equipment
- – Experience managing maintenance operations in a 24/7 environment
