Project Overview:
The department is launching a comprehensive data collection effort in 12 counties, requiring a team of skilled enumerators and supervisors. This project aims to gather vital information that will inform future social protection policies and programs, ultimately benefiting Kenya’s most vulnerable populations.
Available Positions:
1. Enumerators (7,559 positions)
Duration: 21 days
Counties: Uasin Gishu (658), Bomet (521), Nyeri (312), Nakuru (1,002), Siaya (495), Kiambu (833), Nandi (432), Nairobi (1,495), Embu (276), Busia (730), Trans Nzoia (425), and Kericho (380)
Requirements:
- – Minimum education: Mean grade of C- (Minus) or equivalent in Form Four
- – Computer proficiency
- – Must be a resident of the assigned location and fluent in the local language
(Exception for urban centers considered metropolitan)
Key Responsibilities:
- – Conduct face-to-face interviews with households and individuals
- – Accurately record and input data using provided devices
- – Ensure data quality and completeness
- – Adhere to project timelines and ethical guidelines
- – Collaborate with team members and supervisors
2. Enumerator Supervisors (762 positions)
Duration: 21 days
Counties: Uasin Gishu (66), Bomet (53), Nyeri (32), Nakuru (101), Siaya (50), Kiambu (84), Nandi (44), Nairobi (150), Embu (28), Busia (73), Trans Nzoia (43), and Kericho (38)
Requirements:
- – Minimum education: Mean grade of C Plain or equivalent in Form Four
- – Computer proficiency
- – Must be a resident of the assigned location and fluent in the local language
(Exception for urban centers considered metropolitan)
- – Prior experience as a Community Health Volunteer or in leadership positions is advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- – Oversee and manage a team of enumerators
- – Ensure data collection protocols are followed
- – Conduct quality checks on collected data
- – Resolve field challenges and provide support to enumerators
- – Liaise with project coordinators and local authorities
- – Submit regular progress reports
