The Church of Jesus Christ is seeking a dedicated Senior Office Clerk to support their mission through excellent financial, membership, and risk management services at their Nairobi location.

Position Overview

This role combines specialized clerical expertise with financial management responsibilities, serving as a key support position within the Church’s administrative structure. The position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the Church’s operations while working in a faith-centered environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Administrative Management (80%)

  • – Process and code essential Church documents
  • – Compile and arrange data for various Church functions
  • – Perform detailed computational tasks
  • – Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation
  • – Execute specialized clerical functions
  • – Support multiple functional groups within the organization

Records Management (10%)

  • – Maintain detailed specialized records
  • – Implement efficient filing systems
  • – Generate statistical reports
  • – Ensure accuracy in record-keeping
  • – Monitor and update database systems

Communication & Problem Resolution (10%)

  • – Resolve administrative discrepancies
  • – Liaise with administrative and professional staff
  • – Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
  • – Provide clear communication on procedural matters

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • – Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/Administration (Preferred) OR
  • – Diploma in Business Management/Administration with 2-4 years relevant experience
  • – Must be a current Temple Recommend holder
  • – Equivalent combinations of education and experience considered

Professional Skills

  • – Advanced clerical and administrative capabilities
  • – Strong computational and analytical abilities
  • – Proficiency in database management
  • – Excellent attention to detail
  • – Strong problem-solving skills

Technical Competencies

  • – Proficiency in office software applications
  • – Experience with data entry and management
  • – Understanding of financial processing systems
  • – Knowledge of record-keeping practices

  • – Capacity to train and guide junior staff
  • – Experience in work delegation and supervision
