Kasha is seeking a dynamic Pharma Sales Representative to join their team in Nairobi, Kenya. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between Kasha and health facilities, driving sales growth and increasing product visibility.

Kasha is transforming health product distribution in emerging markets, aiming to become Africa’s leading platform for last-mile access to health products and services. Founded in 2016, Kasha operates across East, South, and Central Africa, with plans to expand to West Africa. Their innovative approach serves enterprises, consumers, resellers, and health facilities, focusing on the lower-income mass market.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • – Analyze customer needs and leverage product knowledge to emphasize key features
  • – Achieve sales targets within agreed timelines
  • – Develop and implement solutions to boost revenue, customer acquisition, and profitability

2. Customer Relationship Management:

  • – Pitch and sell Kasha pharma products to retail pharmacies, health facilities, and wholesale shops
  • – Ensure consistent product replenishment in assigned territories
  • – Resolve customer issues promptly to maximize satisfaction and retention

3. Market Analysis and Reporting:

  • – Research competitors’ medications and market performance
  • – Analyze territory potential and track sales
  • – Prepare status reports and prioritize prospective clients

4. Product Knowledge and Training:

  • – Stay informed about pharma trends and best practices
  • – Conduct basic training on self-test kits and other pharma commodities
  • – Ensure at least 80% of the product portfolio is stocked per outlet in assigned territory

5. Continuous Improvement:

  • – Seek and apply feedback from line manager
  • – Identify and communicate bottlenecks for resolution
  • – Contribute to enhancing overall pharma performance

Requirements:

  • – Diploma/Degree in Pharmacy or a science-related field from an accredited institution (essential)
  • – Current Medical Representative Certificate from the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya (preferred)
  • – Minimum 4 years of proven success in pharma sales, selling directly to pharmacies or distributors
  • – In-depth knowledge of the pharma market and its evolving business operations
  • – Diploma/Degree in Sales and Marketing (advantageous)
  • – Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • – Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • – Results-oriented with excellent time management skills
