Avenue Healthcare is hiring a dedicated Physiotherapist to join their Medical Services team at their Thika location. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to contribute to Avenue Healthcare’s mission of providing high-quality care that exceeds client expectations.

Job Overview:

Reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager, the Physiotherapist will be responsible for evaluating patients’ medical needs, developing treatment plans, and assisting in exercises and physical therapy to ease pain, increase mobility, and improve overall function.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Diagnose and assess patients’ physical function and mobility

2. Design and implement personalized treatment plans

3. Interpret and execute doctors’ orders using appropriate physical therapy techniques

4. Educate patients on their needs, especially those requiring long-term rehabilitation

5. Participate in ward rounds and maintain accurate patient records

6. Ensure patient safety following International Patient Safety Goals (IPSGs)

7. Manage equipment inventory, maintenance, and calibration

8. Oversee stock management and prevent stockouts

9. Maintain a safe working environment adhering to IPC standards and safety protocols

10. Contribute to the financial viability of the unit by managing costs and ensuring proper documentation

11. Adhere to Avenue Healthcare corporate governance policies

12. Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and systems

Requirements:

• – BSc. or Diploma in Physiotherapy
• – Registration and license with the Kenya Society of Physiotherapists (KSP)/PCK
• – Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position
• – Strong customer focus and results-oriented approach
• – Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-playing abilities
• – High level of responsiveness, ethics, and responsibility
