Job Description

The Receptionist is responsible for providing excellent customer service at the company’s entry point, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Man and guard all receptions at the Head Office.
  2. Maintain a record of all activities at other receptions within the Head Office.
  3. Receive walk-in visitors and check them in via the Visitors Management System.
  4. Direct visitors to the relevant offices.
  5. Draft quarterly customer service reports.
  6. Conduct in-house customer service training and report on the same.
  7. Ensure all receptions are presentable and well-stocked with updated IEC materials.
  8. Manage the main switchboard.
  9. Receive and escalate complaints to the Customer Care Officer.
  10. Receive and register feedback via the suggestion box and feedback forms, and escalate them to the Customer Care Officer for action.
  11. Undertake the translation of the service charter into special formats.
  12. Distribute the company’s IEC material and update the log sheet.
  13. Execute the customer service week and decorate receptions for the Christmas season.
  14. Update the corporate database.
  15. Provide necessary information for the Customer Service Survey.
  16. Undertake the customer care program.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • – Diploma in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field from a recognized institution
  • – Relevant professional qualifications/certification
  • – Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience

Working Conditions:

  • – Office setting and field visits

Mandatory Requirements:

  1. Signed application letter
  2. Detailed curriculum vitae (CV) with current and previous employers, positions held, level of education, current and expected salary, notice period required, and names of at least three professional referees
  3. Copies of academic and professional certificates
  4. Copy of National Identification Card or Passport

  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations
  • Valid Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
  • Valid Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
  • Current Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
  • Current Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
