Insurance Regulatory Authority

The Insurance Regulatory Authority is hiring a Security Assistant responsible for the security of the Authority’s staff, assets, offices, and the implementation of appropriate and effective security management policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • – Higher Diploma in Security Studies or equivalent from a recognized institution with 3 years of relevant experience; OR
  • – Diploma in Security Studies or equivalent from a recognized institution with 4 years of relevant experience.
  • – Undergone 3 months of Security Training from the Administration Police Training College or any other recognized institution.
  • – Physically and mentally fit.
  • – Meets the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • – Develop and ensure implementation of security strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • – Provide and maintain a protected and secure environment for all persons and assets in the Authority.
  • – Coordinate security activities in the Authority and the provision of outsourced services under security management.
  • – Participate in the coordination of emergency procedures and contingency planning.
  • – Identify potential security threats.
  • – Coordinate investigation of internal security breaches.
  • – Gathering of security intelligence.
  • – Maintain records of crimes and incidents.
  • – Oversee security surveys and inspections.
  • – Advise management on security-related matters affecting operations.
