Job Description:
Tala is hiring an Android Engineer to act as a subject matter expert in Android, Kotlin, Rx, Retrofit/OkHttp, Dagger, architectural patterns like MVVM, MVP, CLEAN design, modularization, unit testing, and integration testing. This role will onboard new contractors, provide training and leadership to ensure efficient onboarding, and contribute to product features in their expertise area.
Key Responsibilities:
- – Act as an anchor position and subject matter expert on the Android team
- – Anchor knowledge to enable seamless staff/contractor transition
- – Lead, train, review code, and participate in the Android Guild
- – Deliver product features in area of expertise
Requirements:
- – 5+ years of experience, 4+ years in Android, 3+ years in Kotlin
- – 2+ apps published on Google Play Store
- – Expertise in Android, Kotlin, Rx, Retrofit/OkHttp, Dagger, MVVM, MVP, CLEAN design, modularization, unit/integration testing
- – Experience with Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Jetpack Navigation, Coroutine Flows
