Job Description:
Jumia is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to join their Engineering Management team and play a key role in executing Jumia’s technology plan. This role will manage a team of talented Software Engineers, coaching them on career development while driving continuous improvement. The Engineering Manager will build reliable, scalable systems aligned with Jumia’s ambitions and partner with product leads to ensure technical deliverables are met.

Requirements:
- – 8+ years experience as a Software Engineer with agile methodologies
- – 3+ years of experience leading effective teams
- – Proven ability to recruit great engineering talent
- – Strong technical expertise to manage technical debt and prioritize quality
- – Ability to be autonomous and own decisions
- – Ambition to grow the company and yourself
- – Excellent technical skills to guide engineers and product decisions
- – Full professional English proficiency
