About the Role:
As a Senior PHP Developer at Iubenda, you will report to the Business Unit Manager and be responsible for designing and building solid, scalable, and maintainable PHP applications and CMS plugins. Additionally, you will lead code reviews, mentor colleagues, and create a positive environment for the people around you. You will collaborate with designers, other team leads, and stakeholders to understand business goals, analyze requirements, and propose technical solutions. This role is meant to be partly a management position, with roughly half of your time spent on management tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- – Design and build scalable and maintainable PHP applications and CMS plugins
- – Lead code reviews and mentor junior team members
- – Collaborate with designers, stakeholders, and other team leads to analyze requirements and propose technical solutions
- – Contribute to project management and ensure timely delivery of projects
- – Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, share knowledge, and help the team grow
Requirements:
- – At least 7 years of experience as a PHP developer
- – At least 3 years of experience as a React.js Developer
- – Proficiency in developing with Laravel 8 and PHP 7/8
- – Sound knowledge of PHP-based CMS plugins (WordPress, Magento, Joomla, Prestashop)
- – Proven experience in leading and mentoring small-sized backend teams, with excellent communication and collaboration skills
- – Ownership in managing projects and ensuring seamless delivery
- – Solid knowledge of relational databases (MySQL)
- – Experience in unit, integration, and acceptance testing, as well as CI/CD tools
- – Proficiency in Git and GitHub, with a solid understanding of core Git concepts
- – Experience with REST API development
- – Full professional proficiency in English and Italian
Preferred Experience:
- – Side projects or open-source project contributions
- – Experience with Vite.js
- – Experience with Shopify SDK
- – Knowledge of CSS3
- – Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
- – Experience with Postgres and NoSQL
- – Experience with SaaS development
