The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional for the position of Team Lead for the FCDO Ending Preventable Deaths (EPD) Support Programme.

About the EPD Support Programme
The EPD Support Programme aims to assist FCDO central and country teams in ending preventable deaths of mothers, babies, and children by 2030. The programme will enhance health systems, promote human rights, and foster healthier environments in 11 flagship countries and 4 countries in protracted crises.
Key Responsibilities
- – Lead the EPD team in deploying technical assistance to address policy, legal, and implementation challenges
- – Manage programme performance against objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- – Oversee project risk, compliance, duty of care, and security
- – Supervise and shape the Technical Assistance (TA) process
- – Manage the strategic flexible fund
- – Oversee development and monitoring of work plans and project strategy documents
- – Manage consortium partnerships and maintain collaborative partner relations
- – Report to FCDO through formal and informal debriefings
- – Represent the project in national, regional, and international fora
Qualifications and Experience
- – Advanced degree in health, public administration, or related field
- – Minimum 10 years experience managing large-scale, multi-million-dollar, complex projects
- – Experience leading FCDO Health programs (preferred)
- – Deep understanding of health system strengthening, human rights, gender equality, and environmental health
- – Experience working in complex and high-risk environments
- – Strong leadership, representation, and interpersonal skills
- – Excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills
- – Proficiency in English required; French proficiency ideal
