Internet is expanding their telesales team to support their mission of providing internet access to every home in Africa. About the Role
The Telesales Representative position offers an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly scaling company with plans to expand across East Africa. This role is perfect for sales professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and are passionate about bringing digital connectivity to underserved communities.
Mission and Impact
The successful candidate will be instrumental in:
- – Driving sales growth through exceptional telephone salesmanship
- – Building and maintaining a strong customer base
- – Contributing to the company’s goal of delivering 85% of total sales targets
- – Advancing digital inclusion across Kenya and eventually Africa
Core Responsibilities
- – Executing outbound and inbound sales calls with a minimum of 100 unique daily contacts
- – Maintaining 4 hours of productive talk time daily
- – Processing M-PESA payments from customers
- – Managing sales leads through the Icon database system
- – Delivering exceptional customer service with 96% quality assurance scores
Target Achievement Requirements
- – Meeting monthly sales targets consistently
- – Following prescribed telesales processes without deviation
- – Maintaining 100% work attendance
- – Managing leads within agreed timelines
- – Demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge
- – Adhering to company policies and ethical standards
Essential Qualifications
- – Minimum 1 year experience in a busy telesales environment
- – Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- – Strong customer service orientation
- – Excellent telephone etiquette
- – Proficiency in modern telesales technology
- – Fluent communication skills
Key Competencies Required
