Job Responsibilities
- – Identify new Kenya partnership opportunities through research and analysis, onboard new partners, and manage relationships
- – Prioritize partnerships that drive sales, ensure timely communication, and achieve efficiency
- – Responsible for all business development partnership projects, ensuring on-time delivery, scope adherence, and target achievement
- – Perform risk management, identify challenges, and escalate potential threats to management
- – Represent SunCulture in partnership negotiations and relevant platforms for increased visibility
- – Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to relevant external parties
- – Monitor expenditure against budgets to ensure internal and external alignment
- – Assist in the submission of winning concept notes, grant proposals, and follow-through to the contractual stage
- – Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders on grant management and changes
Relationship Management
- – Collaborate with the management team and establish effective working relationships with stakeholders
- – Establish, maintain, and manage relationships with project partners, relevant departments, third parties, and other stakeholders
- – Work with key contact persons for partner pilots and integrations, meeting periodically to clarify project requirements and follow up
Qualifications and Requirements
- – Knowledge of different business models of various agricultural partners (e.g., off-takers, input providers)
- – A wide degree of creativity and ownership of work
- – Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- – Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- – Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- – Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google shared folders
- – Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, business management, public relations, or a relevant field
- – At least 4 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnership management in Kenya
- – Excellent problem-solving ability
- – Ability to work in a dynamic environment, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of planning, organization, and adhering to strict deadlines
