Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management
- – Process and manage staff recruitment, placement, promotion, and related HR activities
- – Provide guidance on administrative procedures, entitlements, and UN Staff Rules
- – Maintain vacancy announcements and process personnel actions through Umoja
- – Monitor staffing data and prepare statistical reports
Financial Management
- – Support budget preparation and review of financial proposals
- – Monitor expenditures against approved budgets
- – Assist in preparing budget performance reports
- – Generate and customize financial reports from IMIS system
Administrative Duties
- – Coordinate with service units and team members across locations
- – Manage operational travel programs
- – Oversee vendor payments and contract administration
- – Supervise junior General Service staff
- – Handle office technology needs and maintenance
Data Management
- – Collect and analyze data for knowledge management
- – Prepare presentations and reports
- – Assist with information visualization and website updates
Requirements
Education
- – High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
- – Minimum 7 years of experience in administrative services, finance, accounting, audit, or HR
- – Experience requirement reduced to 5 years for candidates with a university degree
- – Experience with ERP systems (SAP) preferred
- – UN system experience desirable
- – Data analytics experience preferred
Language Skills
- – Fluency in English required
- – Knowledge of another UN official language desirable
