Background and Context
The Dadaab Refugee Complex, established in 1991, is a critical humanitarian zone hosting over 408,985 individuals, predominantly Somali refugees. The operation faces unique challenges, including:

Key Responsibilities
The Generator Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for:
- – Maintaining electrical generators across UNHCR and partner facilities
- – Conducting comprehensive electrical power needs assessments
- – Installing, repairing, and testing electrical equipment
- – Ensuring uninterrupted power supply in challenging conditions
- – Developing maintenance schedules and documentation
- – Responding to emergency electrical system repairs
- – Maintaining inventory of generators and critical electrical components
Required Qualifications
Education
- – Secondary Education (Required)
- – Technical Diploma in Mechanical and Electrical Systems (Preferred)
Experience
- – 1-year relevant experience with High School Diploma
