Essential Responsibilities
Teaching and Development
- – Conducting engaging classroom instruction
- – Designing and implementing age-appropriate learning activities
- – Facilitating developmental play sessions
- – Supporting holistic child development across multiple domains:
* Spiritual development
* Moral guidance
* Social skills enhancement
* Mental growth
* Physical development
* Aesthetic appreciation
* Emotional nurturing
Administrative Functions
- – Maintaining comprehensive professional records including:
* Detailed schemes of work
* Daily lesson plans
* Activity schedules
* Attendance documentation
– Creating engaging learning materials
– Preparing progress reports
– Managing classroom environments
Student Support and Safety
- – Providing guidance and counseling services
- – Acting as a positive role model
- – Ensuring student safety and security
- – Offering mentorship and motivation

Qualification Requirements
Educational Qualifications (Either Option)
- 1. **Option A:**
– Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education (KNEC)
– KCSE minimum grade C (Plain) or equivalent - 2. **Option B:**
– KCSE minimum grade D+ (Plus)
– Certificate in Early Childhood Development and Education
– Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education
Professional Requirements
- – Current Teachers Service Commission registration
- – Computer Applications Certificate
- – Valid National Police Service Certificate of Good Conduct
- – Recent medical clearance from a government health facility
