Position Overview

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- – Assess patient conditions and develop comprehensive care plans
- – Implement nursing interventions and evaluate patient outcomes
- – Provide specialized healthcare services including:
* Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI)
* Immunization programs
* Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT)
* Antenatal care and delivery services
Patient Management
- – Facilitate patient admissions and develop discharge plans
- – Maintain accurate patient health records and care documentation
- – Ensure proper referral of patients when needed
- – Create and maintain a safe, clean clinical environment
Community Health
- – Conduct health education sessions
- – Provide counseling services to patients and community members
- – Address identified community health needs
- – Participate in community health outreach programs
Administrative Duties
- – Collect and compile healthcare data
- – Maintain accurate medical records
- – Contribute to departmental reports
- – Assist in inventory management of medical supplies
Qualification Requirements
Educational Requirements
- – Diploma in any of the following disciplines from a recognized institution:
* Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing
* Kenya Registered Nursing
* Kenya Registered Midwifery
* Kenya Registered Nursing/Midwifery
* Kenya Registered Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry
Professional Requirements
- – Valid Registration Certificate from the Nursing Council of Kenya
- – Current practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya
